Colour
Because of the manufacturing processes, coloured glass may vary from batch to batch and sheet to sheet. Customers are advised to order enough glass for their commission/project to ensure continuity of the colour. All images displayed on our website are only representations of colour, and will vary with every display screen they’re viewed on.
Pearsons Glass holds no responsibility if the colour supplied has a slight variance to that advertised. Pearsons Glass Limited cannot be held responsible for differences in colour or shade when trying to match samples from previous batches or deliveries.
Samples offer a representation of the batch colour we currently hold in stock and it is advisable to purchase samples before ordering glass on this basis.
Glass Quality
Imperfections
Due to the manufacturing process, coloured glass may contain bubbles, seeds and imperfections that are natural characteristics of the glasses. This can also include imperfections that at first sight, may be viewed as scratches or defects.
If you require glass with minimal defecting, please speak to a member of our team to clarify what ranges may be best suited and order enough glass to accommodate wastage.
Stock Sheets
Stock sheet sizes can vary from sheet to sheet, due to the manufacturing process, and are often out of square. If you plan to cut specific sizes from a stock sheet you purchase, please allow for extra wastage due to size variances. All stock sheets are supplied with clean cut edging, care should be taken when handling.
Pearsons Glass holds no responsibility for the variance in sheet sizes supplied by manufacturers.
Bespoke sizes
Tolerances of +/- 2mm are allowed on any bespoke sized glass supplied. All bespoke sized glass is supplied with clean cut edging, care should be taken when handling.
Hobby-Cut
Tolerances of +/- 2mm are allowed on any Hobby-Cut glass supplied. All Hobby-Cut glass is supplied with clean cut edging, care should be taken when handling.

All laminated glass is supplied with a 5-7mm clear taped boarder inside the two layers of glass, visible when viewing the face of the glass. The taped boarder inside the two layers of glass is approximately 1mm thick, finished thicknesses of overall laminated products can be confirmed when ordering.

8. Delivery
Pearsons Glass offer delivery via a fleet of our own vehicles, through employees of the business and via nominated carrier services. The appropriate method will be selected by Pearsons Glass, based on the goods you order.
Goods can be left at an unattended delivery address by our nominated courier, as well as left with a neighbour who is happy to sign for them. Should you not be happy for goods to be left in a safe place or with a neighbour, notification must be given to Pearsons Glass with confirmation of your order. All goods left in a safe place or with a neighbour will be entirely at the customers own risk and no liability will be accepted by Pearsons Glass Limited. When ordering goods for next day delivery orders must be received and payment approved by 12pm in order that the NEXT DAY rule can apply. Pearsons Glass endeavour to dispatch any order placed before 12pm next day, however, on certain occasions, this may not be possible.

9. Breakage Cover
Breakage Cover is a safe, speedy and inexpensive way of ensuring any breakages with deliveries are resolved with minimal inconvenience.
In the event that an item has been delivered damaged, it will be automatically replaced or refunded if Breakage Cover has been purchased (including free delivery of replacement item).
Items that are delivered damaged without Breakage Cover will need to be reviewed and/or inspected by one of our team via either photographic evidence or by returning the goods to us. We would always hope to agree to a sensible level of compensation towards the cost of the products, if the damage is to a level that makes the products still usable for our customer. If we request goods are to be returned for inspection, we suggest this is done via a tracked courier or postal service.
If an item is delivered damaged, Pearsons Glass will require notification via email to artglass@pearsons-glass.co.uk, and photographic proof of damage may be requested. Pearsons Glass must be notified within 3 days of receipt of items.
